EURO08 Day 6

Second fixture of Group B showed us just how unpredictable and how fake international football can be. A really shocking result happened between Germany and Croatia. And a funny one as well. Austria can still claim a place in the next stage. (That is just unbelievable!)

Football is never an easy thing to predict. It is not 1+1=2, it's not 180cm better than 170cm. I myself didn't expect Croatia to be able to defeat Germany, the team that produced such an easy victory in their first game. Almost every Croatia players on the pitch are shorter than the Germans. Croatia was really struggling in their first game against Austria. Is Austria better than Germany? This is why football is so fascinating. "The ball is round."is what we always hear others saying, and that is true. And with the improving ball technology, tasks are tougher for any goalkeepers. Balls are faster and swerve more than in the past. It is easier to score now compared to the past. So we can also add some new phrases to football. "Ball is fast!" or "Ball is hard"

I am still not too sure what will happen between Poland and Austria. I really think the group will be dominated by Croatia and Germany, but who knows? Germany could be out as well even with their fantastic start. This is a warning to all confident predictors/investors.
